2017 Sangiovese: New Release Estate Vineyard Organically Farmed 6 Barrels

WINEMAKER NOTES

This vintage is a medium bodied, rounded red, with a silky texture. There are fresh spices, roasted peppers, potpourri, and leather at first swirl. The vibrant acidity is balanced well with nice tannins, making this a great food pairing wine. there is a floral character throughout, along with some earthy, fresh picked strawberry notes. This Sangiovese will pair wonderfully with lasagna, gnocchi with a butter sage sauce, and spaghetti with meatballs.

Sangiovese is the backbone to some of the best Italian wines on the market. it has gained international fame mainly in the Chianti region. Our Sangiovese comes from the “Ancestors Block,” a CCOF certified organic estate-grown five-acre block that was planted in 1992 at 550 feet of elevation.
