2015 Campo di Blanca
Winemaker Notes:
A very complex nose with notes of marzipan delivered from Marsanne, magnolia and beeswax from Roussanne, and dried fruit from Viognier. On the mouth, the Marsanne is the backbone of the blend, contributing weight and roundness while the Viognier adds a touch of acidity that helps balance out the final blend.
Vineyard Notes:
This Rhone Valley inspired blend is comprised of Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne from two vineyard sites. The Viognier comes from Campo dos Robles (field of two oaks) Vineyard, which is Campovida’s estate Viognier block and is CCOF organic certified. The Marsanne and Roussanne come from Bonofiglio Vineyard, an organically farmed, seven-acre vineyard located five miles north of the town of Hopland. Both vineyard sites are located along the banks of the upper Russian River, where the gravelly, loam soil provides ideal sites for growing world-class Rhone white grapes.
