WINEMAKER NOTES

Dark fruit such as blackberries, blackcurrant and plums dominate the nose with a layer of black  pepper and dark chocolate in the background. The mouth displays very firm tannins that contribute to a big and  bold finish.

VINEYARD NOTES

Syrah is a red grape from the northern Rhone region in France, where it can be found a stand-alone wine or used in blends. Our Syrah comes from Fairbairn Ranch, a vineyard located directly south of Campovida. Joe and Julie  Golden own this biodynamically farmed vineyard southeast of the town of Hopland along the banks of the upper  Russian River. The “Redvine” soil combined with a northwesterly exposure provides an ideal site for growing  world-class Syrah.
